Color Relationships 102

In this free, beginner-friendly, two-part workshop for adults, students explore color through the creation of simple paper collages that reveal how colors interact, contrast, and harmonize.

Through hands-on exercises, participants will explore how colors interact and influence one another. The first session introduces foundational color relationships, including monochromatic, analogous, and complementary palettes. The second session expands on these concepts through triadic, value, and saturation based schemes, helping students build confidence in using color intentionally and creatively. For the final exercise, participants will create their own cohesive color scheme, using what they've learned throughout the class sessions.

No experience or materials required. Accommodates up to ten students.

Color Relationships 101

In this free, beginner-friendly workshop for adults, students work with pre-cut colored paper to make collages that are visually rich, but easy to produce.

Along the way, they learn about monochrome, analogous, and complimentary color relationships they can apply to their everyday lives, whether they enjoy quilting, gardening, cooking, fashion, or more.

No experience or materials required. Accommodates up to ten students.
